A record suspension — formerly called a pardon, and still the word most people use — removes your criminal record from routine CPIC searches, the national police database. It does not erase the record: it sets it apart, and it can be revoked in some cases. The decision always rests with the Parole Board of Canada (PBC).
You can apply on your own directly to the PBC ($50 government fee). An incomplete application, or one with an error in it, can be returned and has to be started over: that is exactly what we prevent.

The waiting period starts once your sentence is fully completed — fines, surcharges and probation included.

Exceptions: certain Schedule 1 offences (involving minors) and people with more than three indictable convictions carrying sentences of two years or more are not eligible. We confirm your situation for free before anything starts.
