No — it sets it apart. Your record comes out of routine CPIC searches, but it is not destroyed and the suspension can be revoked in certain cases.

Waivers & US travel
Can I travel to the US with a record?
Maybe not: the US does not recognize the Canadian pardon, and entry stays at officers’ discretion. The waiver (I-192) is the official advance permission to travel with a record; final admission still rests with the officer at the port of entry.
